Landon's Puzzle Pieces - Sensory Drive

The Beginning

In 2017, a young boy named Landon in Alabama was diagnosed with autism. For his family, the news was overwhelming, and the road ahead sounded difficult and uncertain. But surrounded by prayer, a loving family, and a strong community of friends, Landon’s story began to take a different turn.

With the help of sensory tools and other therapeutic supports, Landon has made remarkable progress. Today, he’s thriving—fully verbal, highly engaged, and enjoying the everyday things many kids love, including sports, music, and reading. Most inspiring is Landon’s determination as he meets challenges head-on and keeps moving forward.

The Birth of an Idea

Landon’s Puzzle Pieces began in 2020 with a simple question: what did Landon want for his birthday? His answer surprised everyone—he wanted to help other children with autism by sharing what helped him.

Those “superpowers,” as Landon calls them, were sensory items his family had discovered along the way—tools that supported his growth, learning, and confidence. What started as one child’s desire to help others has grown into a broader effort to support children and families in schools, organizations, and communities beyond Alabama.
